The natural aesthetic of this organic shaped Arizonian petrified wood specimen is its greatest beauty. Very solid, exceptional quality that is fracture free with a clear heart waiting to be explored.

This giant pine tree thrived and existed in the Triassic era only to be hidden for 220 million years. Excavated in 2001, this extinct pine specimen was unearthed in Paulsell Ranch, Central Arizona.

With numerous minerals to explore, this petrified wooden specimen is a feast of geological matter.  Discover a multitude of satisfying rustic red and charcoal brown colors that are typical of Arizonian fossilized specimens.

Black tones of manganese oxy-hydroxides and graphite frame this specimen. Milky quartz can be appreciated along with mixed ferric iron-bearing minerals in the hazel browns.  On close inspection you will be surprised by the hints of rainbow colors hidden amongst the broad sweeping biological patterns.
