The strong and robust petrified wood log was discovered in Fitzgerald’s Ranch in 2005 – a ranch located near the world-famous Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. Over the years, the pine’s organic matter has been replaced with minerals – predominantly quartz and iron oxide – preserving its internal biological structure into incredibly hard and durable stone.
