Remarkable and unforgettable, this very large petrified wood log was a once-in-a-lifetime find. This perfectly cut and polished petrified log specimen contains an intense display of sleek and moody colors and markings, unlike other specimens.

The very large and solid petrified wood log was discovered on Kline’s Ranch in Arizona in 2011. This fossilized wood specimen originates from an extinct Araucarioxylon pine tree that thrived during this prehistoric era. Approximately 220 million years have passed since this giant pine tree lived, and though the perfect combination of time and natural forces, it’s discovery has led to this moment.

The petrified wooden board exudes an enigmatic aura. Its once-living fibers are now hardened into something cryptic and timeless. Deep brooding colors sweep across the stone grain of the longboard. With very clear biological layers, you can easily appreciate the outer bark layer which perfectly borders the once inner workings of the giant tree. A full pallet of elegant and moody tones, the long-grained wooden board features dark Arizonian reds, deep caramel browns, stormy blacks and greys which are contrasted against the smoky whites.

The one-of-a-kind specimen is 28 inches by 63 inches and will ignite anyone’s attention, making it a sublime addition to any penthouse luxury apartment, estate or office tower. The petrified wooden board could be appreciated as a tabletop or beautiful wall-mount art display.
