Rich Red Colors, Interesting Knot

The ancient pine specimen was discovered in 2010 at Paulsell Ranch in Arizona. This area is significant as it produces the world’s most high-quality petrified wood specimens. Through exceptional circumstances, this extinct Araucarioxylon pine specimen was fossilized over the last 220 million years old, preserving it in a moment of time.

The Arizonian reds caused by iron oxide seem to effortlessly spill across the board like a perfectly painted canvas. These hematite reds are only interrupted by splashes of golden tones, graphite blacks, and milky quartz.

A splendid specimen, the red petrified wooden board would add prestige to any office or home. The board is 17” X 49” and could be admired as a hallway wall mount, or even converted into a functional table or coffee table to make a statement.
