– The petrified wood board is highly colorful. Together with its generous sizing, there are plenty of options to showcase its beauty, whether it be in a luxurious penthouse, elegant office setting, or national museum.

The 220-million-year-old fossilized pine was discovered and excavated in 2010 from Paulsell Ranch, in Arizona. The natural preservation of the Araucarioxylon pine’s biological matter is now a geological delight for all to admire.

The petrified wood board is a fantastic size at 19” X 44”. It is strong and robust, and could easily be converted into a side table, coffee table, or hallway bench. The specimen could equally be at home as a wall-mounted artwork to proudly display to your guests.

The biological matter of this now-extinct tree has been replaced with minerals such as the famous Arizonian reds (iron oxides) creating the rich rustic tones. The stunning colors run the full length of the board, not only showcasing the tree’s inner workings but also creating a unique canvas as if painted by an artist. An absolute treasure, this fossilized petrified wood board boasts golden yellows, purple hazes, misty whites, and moody grey tones not often found in other specimens. A river of Arizonian reds run on either side of the board, framing the rare composition of colors that have been created in the center.
