– A modest-sized specimen, it contains a broad range of color and detail that would fascinate anyone who gazes upon this ancient specimen.

The biological matter of this ancient tree has been replaced with iron oxides creating rich and rustic red tones. The colors range from vibrant mahoganies, red earth, to hazel browns. Of note is an eye-catching knot indicating the previous existence of a branch, which was later grown over by the trunk. How incredible that this tree’s presence and life form has been perfectly locked into a moment of time.

First excavated in 2010, this rich fossilized pine was discovered in Paulsell Ranch, in Arizona. Over the last 220 million years old, the Araucarioxylon pine was naturally preserved, resulting in a remarkable specimen that is a physical connection to a prehistoric era.

The board is 16” X 41” making it an easy addition to any space. As it is strong and solid, it could be used as an outdoor décor specimen, or it could be equally appreciated if converted into a coffee table or table in your home or office. Either way, you will be proud to show your guests the rich history that lives on in this ancient gift from nature.
