Excavated in 2008, the ancient pine specimen was discovered in Paulsell Ranch, Arizona – an area known for producing the highest quality of petrified wood in the world.  The extinct pine specimen has been fossilized over hundreds of millions of year, preserving it in a moment of time.

The geological markings on this specimen are what separate it from other petrified wood boards. Horizontal lines, vertical patterns and pockets of minerals make this specimen a masterpiece. Undoubtedly one could spend endless hours studying these biological patterns, to really appreciate and connect you to this once living giant, prehistoric tree. The colors within this petrified wood board are delicate. Soft Arizonian reds seem to effortlessly spill across the board like a perfectly painted canvas.
